Andrea (who is on vacation this week) and I went to Hampton Beach in New Hampshire this morning. We made the drive from her house in Somerville. The beach was crowded (it was very, very hot today - especially for New England!) and the waves were big. We got sun, read, relaxed, and chatted for most of the day. At lunchtime we went up to the boardwalk and had sandwiches. Afterwards, we walked around and went to the arcade. We played Deal or No Deal, Ski Ball, and other arcade games - which was very entertaining. We ended up staying at the beach until about 5:30 before making the hour car trip back to Quincy.
Bill hung out on the boat today and chatted with old friends and tried to keep cool. He and my father moved the boat to another slip since the one that the marina put us in yesterday wasn't a transient slip and the owners will be back on Friday. Bill, Al, Corinne, and their daughter Lauren went to the Red Sox game tonight. Ahhh...it is nice to be in Boston!
